A beautiful pair of French Regency side tables with deep green Campan marble tops from a private home outside of Paris. Circa 1910. Most likely by Maison Jansen. Elaborately carved apron, wood legs, and stretcher base joined by a carved basket of flowers. Original paint and marble. Campan marble comes from the quarries in the area of Campan, France in the Hautes-Pyrénées and were widely used in the apartments of Versailles during the reign of Louis XIV, not only for fireplaces but also for wall panels, due to the striking beauty of the stone.
