A hand-carved matched pair of recumbent deer statues, showing beautiful, aged patina and remnants of old paper material covering both forms. Circa 1920. Found at a French stately home. The deer have been waxed to protect their surface and age. The antlers are removable and still have their original, rusty nails in place.
