The Story:

A large 18th c. Spanish Fajalauza “Lebrillo” from Granada. Circa 1780.  A lebrillo is a large ceramic bowl with a rim.  The origins are the Spanish Moresque.  Named Fajalauza after the Nasri door of the Albaicin where the largest production center of the ceramist was located.  This antique glazed terracotta bowl features a green lily flower with decorative sides over a milk-white base. In the past, this bowl was used for household chores such as cooking, washing clothes, and bathing children. Sold with both a hand-forged iron stand and wall-mount hanger. We have other bowls available. Please inquire for more details.
