A Swedish slant-front secretary from the 18th century in two parts with arched cornice and bracket base. Found in Kronoberg in southern Sweden, an area known for crystal and furniture. Baroque period, circa 1750. The paint has been hand-scraped down to the original gray paint surface. The upper section has two shelves, the top shaped and slotted for utensils. The slant front opens to reveal nine drawers and a center pigeon hole. Below are two full-length drawers under two long, thin drawers.
