The Story:

A two-part Swedish linen press cabinet from the Baroque period with unusual proportions. From a stately house in Stockholm, this piece has very high quality mahogany veneers, all original bronze hardware and locks with working key. The lock and key are from a famous foundry in Sweden. This cabinet has been hand-scraped to the original paint on the exterior with later paint on the interior, circa 1760. Two large doors open to the interior which is painted a rich blue with two fixed shelves. This impressive piece is raised upon three ebonized ball feet to the front, which is quite unusual. The top portion completely dismantles for ease of transport.
