A classic Louis XIV period mirror in the manner of Jean Bérain. Original mercury mirror plates, naturally aged to a soft pewter tone, still retaining its beautiful reflective quality. Carved pediment with leaf motif, marginal glass borders of beveled glass framing the central rectangular mirror plate. Provenance: Private Collection, Paris. Circa 1700.
