The Story:

A rare French bibliothèque from the 17th century with original silver leaf and paint. This monumental piece is comprised of two parts and came from a large, prominent property in Saint Paul de Venice, a town on the French Riviera situated in the mountains. Beautifully carved corinthian capitals flank six rosette medallions that adorn the top of the bookcase. The base of the columns feature carved leaf decor. This is a very special piece. The upper section of the bookcase is 81 inches high and the lower section of the bookcase is 37.13 inches high. The shelves are 108.5 inches wide x 13.25 inches deep.
