An incredible 19th century Italian Neoclassical style bookcase with a serpentine shape in original paint inside and out. Circa 1860. The original blue painted interior is even more beautiful in person. The carved and shaped crown sits above four arched openings with two, fixed shelves flanked by fluted pilasters adorned with composite capitals. The lower section has raised panel doors and rests on a shaped plinth base. The doors move easily and the keys operate well.
