A stunning Swedish commode from the Gustavian period hand-scraped to reveal the original, soft gray paint with traces of the original dark red primer peaking through in areas. The trim around the top is beaded and below there are two smaller reeded drawers. The reeded detail continues down from the column corner posts to the tapered feet. Dovetail construction of the drawers and case. Original locks and keys. The drawer interiors are in good condition and the drawers move well, circa 1800.
