A Swedish daybed sofa from the Gustavian period dry-scraped to reveal the original paint and newly upholstered in linen with side bolster pillows. This sofa or banquette is beautifully hand carved with a guilloché detail around the back and seat frame. This seat has the added benefit of storage under the lift-up seat plus the base pulls out to form a bed - SO Swedish - SO clever! Circa 1790.
