A Swedish Gustavian period small desk that has been hand-scraped, revealing the original paint and gold gilt. The drawer is concealed within the apron and opens by pressing on a hidden "tap" that is located on the left underside of the table top. There is an intricately carved apron featuring reeded detail at the top and lamb's tongue and fluted detail at the bottom. The table rests upon square, tapered and fluted legs. Circa 1810.
This charming desk would also make a lovely dressing table, console or end table. The apron height is 23.75".
The company is very fond of this beautiful table.
